I watched The Voice last night and enjoyed all the singers and the differences they had to offer. There was one young man who stuck out to me, Jacob Rummell. His voice was just so beautiful, clean, simple, and fresh.
Christina Aguilera said, "The challenge would be, where's your inner fire?"- I disagree with Christina Aguilera (whom I totally love and think is a vocal goddess by the way).
I disagree 100% with her. Why would a voice like that need inner fire?
This young man has a beautiful clean fresh sounding voice. It is simple and joyful. The timbre is gorgeous and happy. - Clean tones, great pitch, just beautiful, excellent diction and a pretty falsetto. His voice is free and has a youthful innocence that will last him a lifetime.
I am looking forward to hearing more of Jacob Rummell's bright sound. I hope that he stays true to his tone and quality regarding his song selections for the show. I am interested in how his Coach Blake Shelton will guide him.
Below are some other singers, John Denver, and Art Garfunkle, from the past that I believe also had sweet voices. Their music did not have much fire, but they sold millions of records and filled people's lives with beauty.
Jacob Rummell "Count on me" The Voice US Season 8 Blind Audition 3 The Voice USA 2015
John Denver- Annie's Song
Art Garfunkle- Bridge Over Troubled Water
Sometimes, beauty and ease is enough. It's actually a magical combination. There is a certain raw simplicity in sound that you must be born with to pull off. Jacob Rummell has the kind of voice that can uplift you.
Good luck Jacob! Stay true.
Sing well!
