Tuesday, March 1st, 2011Hi Ariella. I am not a singer. I am a mother of a singer/performer who is 11 years old. I’d like to tell you that I started reading some of your blogs and really enjoyed them. Your kindness shows through. Thank you for a wonderful resource.
Thank you for your kind words. It takes a lot to be a mommy of a young singer. I remember how my parents had to sit through all the singing competitions I was in- so stressful.
Both my parents came to all my shows, encouraged all my auditions and performances. It meant so much to me to have my parents be my support system. They new when to step away from me when I was stressed and crazed before a performance and how to comfort me after the disappointments of rejection.
It really means so much to a performer to have a tight circle of support around them. The industry is very difficult and filled with many people who are not kind.
Keep protecting her!
